Happy New Year and welcome back to another fabulous term we hope you enjoyed, be it a bit wet, Christmas. This term we have lots of fun activities.
Our big focus will be again be learning all the times tables up to 12 x 12 as in June Year 4 will be taking the MultiplicationTimes Table Check (MTC). More information will be forwarded when it becomes available.,
Important Weekly Timetable
Monday - PE / Homework hand in day.
Wednesday - Times Table practise check / Homework handout day.
Friday - Prayer and Praise Assembly / PE

Outline of 'What is being Learnt'
Perimeter and Measure: The children will learn about perimeter and how it can be used. They will find the perimeter of retangles, rectiliner shapes and polygons.
English - The Flower by John Light: The children will write a short fact fie on Climate Change.
Escape from Pompeii by Christina Balit: The Children will write a newspaper report about the catastrophic events Mount Vesuvius had on Pompeii in AD79.
Topic - The Romans: The children will be learning about how the Romans became powerful for many years but then learn about their downfall. They will also learn about how they invaded Britain, what life was like in Roman Britain, Bouddica and the building of Hadrian's Wall
Science - Sound
RE -Jesus: Why do Christian’s think Jesus is the Son of God
PE - Handball / Bridges
DT - The Great bread bake off.
Please keep reading and get yourself on Year 4's Reading Challenge board. This will checked on a Monday. If you get a 100 reads one of the prizes is a Hot Chocolate.
Please help by practicing times tables (all upto 12's) as this not only helps us in our Maths but also for the Government Test that will take place in the Summer.
